Off-grid Powered static caravan in Milford Haven

Bob Cadwalladr and his family have had a static caravan in Sandy Haven near Milford Haven for many years. When they received their brand new static caravan, Bob needed an off-grid-power system, as the new static site had no mains electricity. Bob and his family wanted a system that would run between April and early October, as this is period of the year in which they use the caravan. The items they requested they wanted to power from the system were an under-counter fridge freezer, toaster, microwave, TV, radio, kettle, computers, mobile phones and lights. Here at Off grid installer we recommended the following system, as Bob had a limited budget. 

The following was Installed:

• 3 x 335 watt LG solar panels with the correct mounting system for static caravan roofs. (Total installed solar 1005watts).
• 4 x 130ah sealed maintenance free batteries, which is 260ah@24volts = 6.24kwh total stored power.
• 2kw multi inverter with built in 40amp MPPT controller and generator port feed in (these can charge the batteries when the weather isn’t great from a cheap throw away generator).
• Relevant battery fuse.

Bob and family now have access to free electricity throughout the period of the year requested and can even maintain independence away from the national grid, never being exposed to power cuts!
